Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 mini burger buns
  • Cheese slices (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo) for serving

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the beef mixture. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until everything is well incorporated, but avoid over-mixing to keep the burgers tender.

Step 2

Form the patties. Divide the beef mixture into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten it slightly to form mini patties about 2 inches wide.

Step 3

Cook the patties. Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Once hot, cook the patties for about 3 minutes per side, or until they are cooked to your desired doneness. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking.

Assemble the burgers. Toast the mini buns in the skillet or on the grill for about 1 minute. Place a cooked patty on each bun and top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and condiments as desired. Serve warm.

Recipe tips
