Baked Brie is a deliciously gooey and elegant appetizer that’s perfect for any gathering. With its soft, melty center encased in a golden, flaky puff pastry (or simply baked on its own), it pairs wonderfully with crackers, fresh fruits, and nuts. Whether you're entertaining guests or looking for a quick, indulgent snack, this warm, creamy cheese will definitely impress.
Preheat the oven. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Brie. If using puff pastry, roll it out slightly and place the Brie wheel in the center. If not, simply place the Brie wheel on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Add toppings. Drizzle honey or spread the fruit preserves over the top of the Brie. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and fresh rosemary, if using.
Wrap the Brie (optional). If using puff pastry, fold the edges over the Brie, covering it completely. Press the edges to seal, and trim any excess pastry. Brush the pastry with an egg wash (1 beaten egg) for a golden finish.
Bake. Place the Brie in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese has melted inside.
Serve. Let the Brie cool for a few minutes before serving with crackers, slices of baguette, or fruit.
For extra flavor, add a splash of balsamic vinegar reduction over the top just before serving. Dried fruits like cranberries or figs can add a sweet contrast to the creamy Brie. If you’re using puff pastry, you can assemble the Brie ahead of time and store it in the fridge until ready to bake.
